Sister, Sister Reboot No Longer Happening Confirms Tia Mowry

The Sister, Sister reboot is no longer happening, according to Tia Mowry. Mowry starred in the classic sitcom with her twin sister, Tamera.

Sister, Sister is no longer getting a reboot according to star Tia Mowry. The sitcom centered on twins Tia Landry and Tamera Campbell, played by real life sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry, who were separated at birth and eventually found each other at a shopping mall. Not wanting to separate them again, their respective parents moved everyone into one house and hijinks ensued. The series became beloved over its six-season run, launching the Mowrys into stardom. Since the show bowed out in 1999, the twins have said they'd loved to do either a reunion film or a revival, but there's been no movement.

Tia Mowry took to social media this week to put all the rumors to rest, saying there won't be aSister , Sister reboot. She broke the sad news while taking part in a popular TikTok trend using Hoàng Read's song "The Magic Bomb (Questions I Get Asked) (Extended Mix)."

Not only did Mowry shut down the possibility of aSister, Sister reboot, but she added in another major blow to her fans. Mowry said she won't reprise her role in Paramount+'s revival ofThe Game. She played the series lead Melanie "Med School" Davis in the first five seasons of The CW's hit dramedy, before leaving in 2012.

Tia and Tamera Mowry have been sharing their enthusiasm for a Sister, Sister, revival for over a decade. While at one point it seemed like the show was close to remounting, it doesn't appear to be in the cards anymore. Perhaps the series, which has gained a new fanbase thanks to streaming, can take theFriends reunion route.
